This position is located at CRMA. in Brillant, OH . We are seeking hard working, motivated individuals.  ACNR, Inc. requires trained, dedicated, and skilled mechanical, electrical, welding, and fabrication technicians to operate safe, productive, and efficient repair shops.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to execute verbal & non-verbal communication using company radios/CB’s, cell phones to contact other operators, superintendent. 
• Ability to perform and complete pre-shift checks of equipment, and relay issues to designated managers.
• Ability to report time on equipment, time on labor, travel time, tasks performed, to management daily.
• Ability to communicate to management when a task has been completed to be assigned to the next task for the shift.
• Ability to use common hand tools (sledge hammer, shovels, hand lever hoists, etc.) for installation of silt fence, chain link fence posts, filter fabric, pipe connections, etc.
• Ability to hike in uneven terrain for mowing & seed jobs, bending over multiple times per shift
• Ability to operate handheld power equipment (string trimmers, chain saws).
• Ability to operate a water pump and understand its function/requirements.
• Ability to clean pickup truck or side-by-side, each shift, of mud & debris.
• Ability to operate hand grease gun, each shift
• Ability to locate & check & fill all fluids, each shift, and monitor levels throughout the shift for leaks or other problems
• Ability to operate power washer for removal of accumulated combustible materials (oil/grease/fuel).
• Ability to assist mechanic on minor issues (blown hydraulic hose removal/replacement)
• Backfilling fence post holes, use of shovel
• Mixing cement, use of wheelbarrow, gardening hoe, shovel
• Trimming grass around fence lines, signs, posts, or other obstructions to broad area mowers
• Spreading fertilizer, lime pellets, seed with use of hand crank seeder
• Power Washing various equipment or surfaces, cleaning cabs of vehicles
• Compacting stone/gravel beds for compaction, for shop floors, or culvert replacements
• Cleaning office floors, broom, vacuum, mop & bucket
• Minor Carpentry work at times with wooden stair tread/riser replacements
• Silt Fence Installations, use of shovel, accompanied by mini-excavator at times
• Discarding trash in dumpsters
• Snow Shovel clearing of walkways

Experience

• No prior experience required
• Experience with or operated lawn/gardening type of tools, preferred
• Must be able to operate below equipment types:

o   Chain Saws – Stihl / Husqvarna

o   Trimmers – Stihl

o   Leaf Blowers – Stihl

o   Extendable Manual Pole Pruner – Fiskars

o   Pickup Truck – various domestic brands (1/2-ton, ¾-ton, 1-ton)

Job Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or GED, preferred
• Reliable transportation
• Valid driver’s license
• Regular and punctual attendance
• Compliance with company policies, procedures and safety standard
• MSHA Certification (training available if needed)
• Must be able to successfully pass a post offer drug test and background check
• Must be able to successfully complete industry approved training courses
• Must be able to work safely and effectively as part of a team or independently
• Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship

JOB SCHEDULE AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to work Monday through Thursday 7am - 5pm with possible overtime, weekends and holidays as needed or as schedule requires (subject to applicant’s religious practices) Unless not possible due to inclement weather
• Secondary schedule would be Monday through Friday 7am – 3pm
• Ability/willingness to work different shifts when assigned
• Ability to work in a physically demanding atmosphere when needed
• Ability to perform heavy labor and lift 50+ pounds as needed
• Ability to work in various terrain conditions
