Description
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring skilled Motor Winders for projects located in or around Michigan City, IN . This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is $30-$35/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
Wind and rewind electric motors
Remove old windings and prepare motors for repair
Install coils, insulation, and related motor components
Assist with motor disassembly and reassembly
Inspect motor components for wear and damage
Perform detailed repair work while maintaining quality standards
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Requirements:
Previous motor winding experience preferred
Candidates with 1–2 years of winding experience are encouraged to apply
Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to use hand tools and shop equipment safely
Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team
